The first church in Kansas City was the St. John Francis Regis that was constructed in 1833 by a reverend known as Rev. Benedict. The presence of this building in Kansas City to date aroused my curiosity to examine the hidden information regarding the existence of the structure in the region as well as its origin. This analysis will be based on both primary and secondary sources for comprehensive acquisition of knowledge regarding the natives as well as the Catholic Church during this period.
